Simply because the Large Hadron Collider is so very large, and also because it may cause the world to cease to exist, and because it may provide the answer to the question of everything (I half-expect it to spit out 42), and because I feel guilty about not posting on this blog often enough, I’ve decided to give the LHC a second post.

Apparently they’re only going to look for the Higgs boson next year sometime. In the meantime, they’re just letting it all cool down after the initial test. Geddit? Cool. They’re letting it cool … ‘cos it’s so … coo- oh, never mind.

Well the answers it may or may not provide won’t really mean anything if it causes the world to cease to exist… I guess they’ll have answers in that split second before it all collapses into itself… and their final words will be “Oh shit”
